A Canadian Story of Love and Friendship

Ginny is a rich girl from Toronto who dares, against her family's wishes, to elope with a Danish immigrant named Marty Polsen to his homestead in Alberta. Ginny faces many challenges on her homestead such as learning how to cook, coping with homesickness, being chased by a bear, and a difficult childbirth that nearly kills her. With the support of both her loving husband Marty, and her dear friends Ingrid and Gina, Ginny perseveres.

As you trace Ginny's life, from a time when she was a rich girl adjusting to the rigors of the homestead, to a time when she is offering wise counsel to her grandchildren of the baby boomer era, you will come to appreciate that this work in a triumphant story of love and friendship.
